Genmai is a Japanese brown rice green tea consisting of green tea mixed with roasted popped brown rice. It is sometimes referred to colloquially as "popcorn tea" because a rice grains tend to pop during the roasting process and resemble popcorn. Its flavour is mild and combines the fresh green tea flavour with the toasted aroma of the roasted rice that gives it a nuttiness. Made in Nagasaki, Japan.
